From the time she picked up 200 tadpoles from the monsoon drain and nearly flooring her neighbour from shock, she knew she was different.
Deborah Tan (or more affectionately known as Debbie) was practically born with a pencil at hand: she was drawing since she could remember! Hailing from the little island of Malaysia, she was surrounded by lots of animals, plants and a huge, noisy family. She filled her crazy, curly head with cartoons, nature documentaries, doodling and day-dreaming to avoid doing her homework.
4 years of art school and 3 years of working later, she decided to broaden her horizon and went off to study again at the Institute of Technology Tralee, in County Kerry, Ireland. After graduating with First Class Honours in her Bachelors Degree of Arts, Deborah is now currently chasing her dream animation career in Dublin, Ireland (on a slightly bigger island)
